ABOUT SHAYMIS
Shaymis a is big talented forward player here in Auckland and New Zealand. A solid runner with the ball especially off the kick off Shaymis is a quick prop forward who gains metres with every carry. Shaymis has good leg speed, powerful fends and has good footwork close to the opposition defence. His defence is reliable, of a high work rate and has shown many opposition attackers that they are made to rethink when they run at him. Shaymis has a heavy shoulder & ball hit that with his size and strength is displayed more so at a higher senior grade level and not normally viewed at the under 17s grade level. Shaymis has proven he has good potential with his local grade side where he was eventually selected to trial for the Auckland under 17 rugby league representative team in 2010. He has worked hard under the careful guidance of his club coach and representative coach. A noted big hitter and a big collossus of a man at 6 foot 3 inches and growing still.
Shaymis is a very hard worker in training and shows this as his teams starting & most dominating prop forward. Whilst playing for his former junior grade club Glenora in 2009 Shaymis had shown good athleticism & determination in contributing much of the forwards platform work in the lead up to his teams under 16s Auckland competition grand final. Shaymis is a talented forward and has good work ethics to help him push forward in a possible career in rugby league. Shaymis is most deserving of any opportunities to play at a higher grade and will no doubt under a good rugby league development system will show his true talents.
