ABOUT SAM
Sam is a mountain of a man! His strengths lie in his power, speed, balance and strong carries with the ball. Equally strong on defence Sam can be relied upon to contain his attacking player. Sam is a strong robust outside back with excellent playing ability and speed to burn. A former South Island Volleyball champion, Sam is athletically built for the high balls, tap backs and the aerial movement tries similar to his idol Manu Vatuvei. Sam is a consistent and performing trainer in the gym and on the playing field. A focused young man on a journey to reaching his highest levels at professional rugby league level as possible.
Sam has been through various rugby league development systems including the Parramatta Eels, Canterbury Bulls (NZ), Canterbury Crusaders Rugby Union, Vodafone Junior Warriors and more recently the Auckland Vulcans NSW Cup. Sam is an exceptional player and person. A former junior rugby union representative player Sam has shown potential in both rugby union and rugby league. A father to a son, Sam is playing for the future of himself, his partner and child. Inspired by few and idolised by many of his peers in the Auckland Premier grade competition we believe with Sams commitment, dedication to training and playing ability will help his bid to continue his rise to the top.
