Lightning quick out of dummy half and fights well about his weight in defence. With a big off-season under his belt Ronnie should move on to higher levels in 2009. Ronnie has been in outstanding form in 2009 as an accomplished half back/stand off. Ronnie has worked hard on his kicking and passing game which his under 20s team have benefited. A fine performance at Auckland under 18s trials went unnoticed but Ronnie continues to perform to a high standard for his club team. A crafty hooker in 2008 Ronnie was brought in to his clubs under 20s side from the under 18s as a winger/hooker. Ronnie is a talented ball runner, organiser and has a great short and long ball passing game. His general play saw him play at Reserve grade level where he made 6 appearances whilst at bagging a number of tries in senior grade in 2008. Ronnie is a fit, hardworking, humble, young man who has benefitted from strong dominating forward packs. Ronnie’s acceleration and dazzling foot work around the ruck area has seen him be a revelation. Fit to play any role Ronnie will definitely be a revelation. |
Ronnie is enthusiasm in the gym as well as at training. He displays a willingness to learn basic rugby league fundamentals. Ronnie is a smart player with the speed of a class-act winger. Ronnie has progressed in 2008 and 2009 to become a regular try scoring star for his high school team who continue to be the best rugby league school in New Zealand for the last 18 years, St Paul’s college.
