Pita is every coaches dream. A player with loads of talent , a hunger for defence and attack, and is determined to make the top level grade. Pita is a very well known utility ball playing and ball organizing speed demon in Auckland, New Zealand and in the NSW cup competition. After backing up as Rookie of the year in 2008 Pita deservedly was the Auckland Vulcan's NSW cup Runner up Player of the year in 2009 and showed he can also be a handy utility player having also played centre position in 2009. Pita is a very exciting player to have in any team and shows in the training field and playing field week in week out which is why he is a deserved up and comer!
Pita has great value about him as the experienced half back, stand off, hooker is quick off the mark and is a flyer at full pace. A never say die attitude and never shy of defence Pita is exceptional with organizing team members and working towards effective game plans. Pita has excellent footwork, extraordinary ball skills and is deceptively fast. Pita is a strong organizer and through this is quickly a natural leader when the going gets tough. In to his third year of the NSW Premier league competition Pita has stamped his mark in 2009 and wants to improve further in 2010.
Pita is a committed trainer, a good listener and communicates well with others. Pita has worked very hard on his overall game under the guidance of NZ’s top coaches including Bernie Perenara, Sam Panapa Rusty Matua, Ricky Henry and now Brent Gemmell. Pita is a clever player who is excellent with the ball in hand and will definitely add value to any team he is associated with.
