ABOUT PAT
Pat is a very dedicated and ambitious young man with a tremendous ability to play rugby league. His main strengths are his defensive qualities (dominant tackler) and his attitude to break the line whenever he takes the ball forward. Pat is a running ball playing forward who can also play in the Centres. He has played mainly back row for the Te Aroha club and provincial League for Wellington the past 3 seasons. He came into the local first grade competition as a young player and has held his own against much bigger and more experienced opponents.
Pat is one of the top back row players both in the Wellington and New Zealand domestic competitions. Pat has the ability to consistently make the advantage line, drag in more than one defender and keep the ball alive in the tackle. Defensively he hits ball and all with regularity and is very active off the ball. In the last 2 seasons Pats form has been of the highest standards expected of a back row player in the game. Pat is a dedicated and committed rugby league player at both local and national level. Pat has shown over the past 2 season why he is one of the most respected and feared forwards in the (NPP) National Provincial Competition.
Pat has potential to play at the highest level. Pat has always been committed, sincere and compassionate towards others in the community and he continues today to make a valuable contribution. This is the quality that underpins him as a rugby league player. With the right environment he will develop into a top-line player, with the ability to play at a much higher level. His cardio-respiratory fitness levels are of a very high standard and he has strength to match his quick footwork.
