Mike is a strong runner with great acceleration and often creates space out wide for his full back or winger. Mike has a strong fend, good footwork, has pace and can take the big hits as well as give them back. Mike is a versatile player who can play a variety of positions when required to however for much of his junior and senior grade is well known as a centre. Mike is a reliable defender in one on one defence situations and has shown through his many playing years that he can match it with the best attack runners. Mike is a good listener and a good communicator both on and off the playing field. His playing ability, experience, leadership and nous is eye catching for any coach wanting an experienced player who offers great value to young teams. Mike has had a stellar year in 2009 as he assisted the young Cooma Stallions pack to a maiden grand final.
