Lance is an electric pacey ball player who can play a range of positions from half back, stand-off, hooker, wing and full back. Lance has had regular stints in a number of positions but has found a home in the halves position. A noted accurate goal kicker Lance is a strong defender and has a high work rate for defence. A lot of halves shy away from the defensive work load of a rugby league player but Lance is the total opposite where like any good half or team organiser selects when to make himself available for attacking the defence line or pulling off a big hit. Lance relishes the opportunity to defend his own defence line and is a very feisty defender.
Lance has a powerful passing game and is a nippy player with the ball in hand. Lance has exceptional ball skills and has excellent foot work. His speed off the mark make him an exceptional ball runner and he enjoys taking the line on if he can point out weak defenders.
